L-Lysine is obtained by PH adjustment of L-Lysine hydrochloride. As an essential amino acid, L-Lysine is not synthesized in animals, hence it must be ingested as lysine or lysine-containing proteins. It is easily soluble in water, soluble in alcohol and insoluble in ether.
